Pink & Green should always be seen

This week is a colour inspo kind of post. If you have been following me for a while, you may have noticed that I cannot get enough of pink & green as a colour combo. Most of my designs feature these two colours in some capacity because I adore the contrast and they make me so happy.

Cheerful, wild and feminine, this combo has been on trend for a couple of years and it doesn't seem set to disappear anytime soon.

There are so many shades to choose from and can suit any mood- calming pastels, muted heritage tones or in your face vibrant and tropical.

For as long as I can remember, pink has been my very favourite colour and as a grown up, I have exercised my right to include this colour throughout my house. I am slowly getting a collection of Mayajoy originals and the excitement I get when I have an idea in my head and the finished result is just as I hoped brings such a sense of accomplishment.

Last week I used some remnant linen, left over from making my Roman blinds for the Master bedroom. Read all about them here:

I had introduced green in to my colour scheme but really needed some accessories to tie it all together, so what better way than using fabric paint!

It felt so freeing to just paint. I loosely based the design on my Pink palm print, which I hope to turn in to a fabric in the near future.

Teaming the finished hand painted fabric with some left over olive green velvet and hot pink piping, I now have a striking and luxurious hand printed bolster cushion.

What do you think? Are you a fan of this colour combo?

Let me know in the comments.

Love from
