Gratitude Wins

"Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realise they were the big things"- Robert Brault

Happy Tuesday my gorgeous girls. I needed to come and tell you about something that happened last week and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it.

I was driving to the shops to buy some ingredients to make a delicious Gluten free cake for Mother's Day this weekend and whilst in the car I drove past a beautiful grassy bank, completely covered in daffodils. The sun was shining, which always improves my mood. I noticed a man walking or rather stumbling down the road. He had a long beard and messy hair and his clothes were in tatters. I don't know a thing about him, except that perhaps life is challenging.

I watched him the entire time I was driving down this road and then suddenly he ripped a daffodil out of the ground, carried on walking and put this delicate flower to his nose. He continued walking whilst breathing in its scent and oh my goodness, my heart.

At that moment any judgements that I may have had vanished and I simply smiled. It made me think about how this man, probably shunned by society, still took time to express gratitude, take time to smell the flowers and how this may have had a profound affect on him.

Gratitude really is happiness and starting each day with a thankful heart for the things we have, even when life is challenging, changes your perspective. It makes us believe that some things which may not seem possible, actually are. Gratitude is hope for the future.

I just had to share because this man ended up looking so cute to me. This week, challenge yourself to start each day with gratitude.

If you want to know more about this or want to share how this has changed your life for the better, make sure you connect with me. I would love to know more.

Until next time lovelies.

Lots of Love
